We've been waiting patiently.
And we're finally enjoying vine-ripened tomatoes this week.
A few big ones so far (which Mitch loves on BLT's), and lots of little cherry tomatoes.
A little healthier than the BLT's is this snack Mitch had today..
fresh tomato on dill-jack cheese & wheat crackers.
It looked too wonderful not to take a photo.
We didn't have good cucumber germination this year - things got too cold & wet after planting & we lost a lot of seed overall. Just one cucumber plant - we picked our first cucumber this week.
The cool nights have been good for lettuce production. We're picking fresh carrots on an on-demand basis.
And speaking of dill (in the cheese above), we have a huge row of it, tall & beautiful. I should probably start doing something with it!
