The tonic of Wildness - Spring in the Northwoods

“We need the tonic of wildness…We can never have enough of nature.”
-Henry David Thoreau,  Life in the Woods

Just a quick post & run, due to things noted in my last post.
I know most of the country has been reveling in green leaves & bright blossoms for quite some time now, but Spring greens have finally just been reaching us here in northern MN over the past week.
Some photos from a walk last Thursday evening.
Much thanks for the kind words, especially for our boy McGee.

  8. Looks like the nature is awakening up in MN. I guess it is weird that it really never seems to go away here. I think both worlds are beautiful. And lots of love to McGee!

  14. Great quote - can say I found Thoreau easy to read, but gems like this made it easier.

I'll take frost over mosquitoes any day!
